1Install the Extension
Visit the Chrome Web Store (link coming soon) or download the source from our GitHub repository. Enable "Developer Mode" in Chrome Extensions settings to load the unpacked extension if installing from source.
2Authenticate
Click the extension icon in your toolbar. You will be prompted to sign in with your Google account. This permission is required only so we can upload files directly to your Google Play Books library. We do not read your emails or access other personal data.
3Navigate to an Article
Browse to any text-heavy webpage, such as a news article, blog post, or long-form essay. The extension works best on pages with clear main content.
4Send to Play Books
Open the extension popup and click "Send to Play Books". The extension will:
- Extract the main content (removing ads and sidebars).
- Convert the content into a high-quality EPUB file.
- Upload the EPUB directly to your Google Play Books uploads folder.
5Read Anywhere
Open the Google Play Books app on your phone, tablet, or e-reader. Your article will appear in your library, synced across all your devices, ready for distraction-free reading.
